INDA REID
PRODUCER, DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY, EDITOR
With a diverse career background in film and theatre, Inda Reid has worked in almost every facet of the film industry, from Director to D.P., Cinematographer, Actor, Writer, Producer, and Editor. Strongly Influenced by the Cinéma Vérité movement, she has adopted the style for her award-winning documentaries Brotherhood of the Popcorn (2014) and The Making of The Nutcracker (2009). Inda has also won awards for directing the narrative shorts: "Sunday Mornings (2019), Mormon Boys (2012) and The Leading Man (2011); extremely passionate about theatre and the timeless craft of storytelling, Inda studied Shakespeare, British History, and period Styles in London, UK, on a study abroad scholarship. After receiving a B.S. in History, she worked as a professional actor, singer, and dancer all over the U.S. After performing as a resident actor at the Gaslight Theatre in Tucson, she landed at the University of Arizona, where she honed her directing skills and earned a master of Fine Arts in Acting and Directing. In her final year of grad school, she won the APO award for Best Director for her stage production of "From The Mississippi Delta” at the Arizona Repertory Company (ART). In the early 2000s, she was a member of the all-girl band ROXXI, which toured Europe and opened for acts such as Destiny's Child and 112. Due to her extensive training and performance experience, Inda has developed a reputation as an actor’s director; she is an effective communicator with a keen sense of movement and story. Despite her intensity in all areas, she can still deliver her ultimate vision with unassuming authority, possessing the innate ability to create magic on a limited budget.
